Description
The 90 m² space is recyclable at the end of its life cycle, and all the elements that construct the architecture were manufactured in Spain in order to reduce CO₂ emissions.
The U-shaped floor plan starts from two existing pieces that anchor this distribution: the original position of the fitting rooms at the back of the central axis, and the storage area at the rear. These strategic decisions stem from the aim of carrying out the minimum possible demolition, with the resulting savings in emissions.
The interior perimeter is conceived as a single continuous, fluid and sculptural element. The curved shapes of the walls are molded to become the different display elements, and are sculpted to emulate the textures of a glacier in its thawing process. The gradual shades of blue and gray of the skin come from the back wall, printed in chromatic gradients that pass through and impregnate the plastic. The floor, made of gray Rubina marble, turns the ground into ice; its minimally reflective finish highlights the subtle variations of light that the carefully designed lighting emphasizes across the organic and sinuous geometry of the plastic skin. The ceiling, finished in an intense matte black imported from scenic spaces, amplifies the sensation of height and depth, evoking the infinity of the sky.
The project thus constructs an immersive experience through its materiality, atmosphere and complex geometries.
