31 ROOMS

Description

The Finnish sauna is understood as a model of public space where climate is collectively constructed through interaction between people. The project 31 Rooms adopts this logic, replacing hierarchical climate control with systems that allow microclimates to be negotiated and generated through elements such as furniture, plants or mobile structures. While some rooms maintain fixed conditions, others, such as the lobby, function as dynamic environments where climate continuously adapts to the participation of those who inhabit them.
