This project, a collaboration between Nil Brullet and Bajet Giramé commissioned after winning a public competition, is conceived as a building on top of another building. It follows a logic of stacking, with an almost permanent concrete plinth associated with polyvalent public uses, supporting a lightweight three-storey timber structure containing 72 social housing units.

The project is articulated through distinguishable layers with different durabilities and degrees of agency. This material stratification seeks to embody social, ecological and atmospheric objectives: a generous bioclimatic courtyard that reduces heating and cooling demand; a low-emission construction typology based on prefabricated timber; and an adaptable housing design that avoids the segregation of care, corridors and hierarchical organization of rooms, thus incorporating a gender perspective and a suggestive spatial indeterminacy.
